Fall is upon us, folks! Our plans for festive fun are extensive and the days are short. Chances are, if you don't make a plan on how you'll get it all done, it's likely you'll only get to about 30% of the activities.
Can you do the most? Yes! Even with a hectic schedule?! YES! THE KEY IS PLANNING. You all know how I feel about a plan by now...ain't nothing changed.
The 3 key components you'll visit are:
Budget
Creating a budget for trips and parties is often a given. This should apply to activities also. It's actually a great way to narrow down your list to reduce feelings of being overwhelmed. Your budget should be a realistic max for what you are willing to spend prior to gifting season. Once you've settled on the amount, it's time to go on a scavenger hunt for your fun!
Activities
County and city sites where you live are THE BEST place to start your hunt for "bang for your buck" fun! Festivals, outdoor movies/activities and trick-or-treat alternatives are abundant during this time; often for little to no charge. Once you've combed your local happenings, go thru activities for nearby pumpkins patches to decide which fits your family's interests best. Many patches offer activites that go beyond picking a pumpkin and can scratch a few more activities off your list. Coming attractions, shows and concerts are a great way to get festive and are often listed with large event centers in your area. Don't be afraid to hunt. You'll definitely find gold!
Mindful Scheduling
Once you jot down what interests you, it's time to compare your existing schedule with the timeline of your activites. If you have a hectic schedule, I have found that squeezing in activites in close proximity on the same day is both time effective and exciting. You instantly become the "host of the most" with the kids, friends and/or your boooo....see what I did there?! Eh hem... carry on. Everyone will definitely sleep good, ha, ha!
The most important component to experiencing fullness of this and every season is INTENTIONALITY. You will continue to amaze yourself with what you're able to accomplish when you're determined and have a plan.
Happy Fall to all!
